Gill has been flying gliders since 1986 and has amassed more than 5,000 hours. She first flew the Womens Europeans when it was first hosted in the UK in 1991 and has flown all the Womens International European/World Championships since. In 2001 at the first Womens World Championships she won the Gold medal in the 15m Class, and in France in 2005 the Gold in the Club Class. She has also competed several times in the Standard Class winning Silver in Poland and Germany.
In 2013 she will be flying in the Standard Class in her LS8 in Issoudun, France - and as it's also her home club she is very much looking forward to the Championships.
